'Pretty Little Liars' se impuso por tercer año consecutivo en los Teen Choice Awards. Los adolescentes estadounidenses escogieron en esta gala de 2014 a la producción de ABC Family como mejor serie dramática, eligiéndola por delante de 'Hart of Dixie' o 'Switched at Birth'. Además, se convirtió en la serie más premiada de la gala al recoger hasta 6 galardones.
Entre ellos, no faltaron los de mejor actor y actriz de serie dramática para Ian Harding y Lucy Hale, quienes obtuvieron su quinto premio consecutivo. En 2010 y 2011 se impusieron como mejores actores en serie de verano y desde entonces se han impuesto en la categoría de mejores actores de serie drámatica.

Por su parte, 'The Vampire Diaries' venció en la categoría de mejor serie de fantasía o ciencia-ficción, batiendo a fuertes adversarias como 'Teen Wolf' o 'Once Upon a Time'. A su vez, la serie obtuvo 3 premios más al vencer en las categorías de mejor actor y actriz de serie fantástica/ciencia-ficción con Ian Somerhalder y Nina Dobrev y en la de mejor 'robaescenas' femenino con Candice Accola. En la categoría de comedia, se impuso 'The Big Bang Theory'.
